Are you fit to runbristol?
Download a free training plan for 10k or half marathon.
There is a 10 week specific programme for a 10k and a 12 week programme for the half marathon - but in the weeks prior to that you would be well advised, and benefit greatly, if you put down the initial foundations by doing some gentle progressive running. As with any form of training programme be prepared to be patient and purposeful but equally positive in your approach.
It is always good to “hurry slowly” and help prevent injuries by being realistic about how much is feasible for you – and above all – enjoy your running !

Runners medical resource
Following concern about the lack of preparation by runners entering marathons and half marathons the organisers and medical teams of some of the larger races have got together and produced an advice sheet published by the London Marathon, which we would strongly advise you to read www.runnersmedicalresource.com
