2015 RACE INFORMATION

The Bristol 10k is a RunBritain Grand Prix event.

The Bristol 10k Race Info booklet is available on-line. The Race Information page of the website also contains information about the race and will be updated in the weeks leading up to race day – so please check it again before you travel to the event.

With around 12,000 runners signing up to take part in 2014, the Bristol 10k is now one of the fastest growing and most popular of its kind in the UK. The race is a RunBritain grand Prix event and will include some of the top athletes in the UK. For further information about the Grand Prix go to www.runbritain.com

PARTICIPANTS ARE ADVISED:

Animals including dogs, guide dogs and pet animals, wheeled carriages other than wheelchairs (racing chairs only) are banned from the race and athletes must not be accompanied or followed by others on cycles.

Runners are not permitted to run with animals for welfare and Health & Safety reasons and anyone doing so will be disqualified.

Blind or partially sighted runners can run with a running guide but are asked to contact bristol@frsystems.co.uk in advance.

2015 ENTRY FEES:

Unattached runner: £26. 
Member of a UKA/EA affiliated running club or BTF triathlon club: please see below. Individual club athlete places £24. Elite athlete places free: please see criteria below. Over 60 on race day: £16 (proof of age may be required – if not provided the organisers reserve the right to declare the entry void and any entry fee paid will be retained to cover administration costs).

NB: There will be an on-line processing fee of £3 per person. Please think carefully before entering as entry fees are not refundable (subject to 15 day cooling off period) and places in the race may not be transferred to another person.

HOW TO BUY GOLD BOND CHARITY PLACES

Charities wishing to buy Gold Bond places can each request a maximum of 100 places which can be purchased at a cost of £32 per place.
CLUB ATHLETE SPECIAL OFFERS

This offer only applies to UK Athletics/EA affiliated clubs or British Triathlon affiliated clubs. Requests from other clubs affiliated to a Governing Body of Sport may be considered but the offer is not open to general sports or recreational clubs.

BLOCK BOOKING FOR YOUR CLUB?

UKA / BTF clubs wishing to block book places can take advantage of the following deals:

  • Buy 10 places @£24 and claim 25% discount

  • Buy 15 places @£24 and claim 30% discount

  • Buy 20 places @£24 and claim 35% discount

The Club Representative should Click here to email your request to bristol@frsystems.co.uk giving their own name, day time phone number, club name and address plus a spreadsheet of email address for the club members they would like to enter. Once full payment has been received, club members will then each be sent an individual unique access code to enter on line. If athlete names are not yet confirmed, block bookings can be paid for in advance and runner names supplied at a later date.

HOW TO ENTER IF YOU ARE AN ELITE ATHLETE

Places are reserved for elite athletes. Guide times: Men sub 31.30 mins, Women sub 35.30 (but we may also consider requests from up-and-coming young athletes). Please send a brief CV with your recent achievements and PB’s setting out your case for being given a reserved place to our race administration service who will pass your request on to Bud Baldaro for consideration.

HOW TO ENTER IF YOU ARE A CELEBRITY OR CELEBRITY ATHLETE:

Places are reserved for special guests whose inclusion in the race would be newsworthy. If you are interested in helping us promote the race in exchange for a free place, please send brief details to our race administration service.
